Charles E. Gross, Jr., Senior Vice President, WordCom
Charles E. Gross, Jr. joined WordCom in 1986.  Since then, he has worked with financial institutions in helping them to develop successful marketing and communications programs that target the consumers of retail, commercial and high net worth products and services. Before joining WordCom, Charlie spent 14 years in the banking industry with increasing responsibilities in marketing, product management, and retail service delivery. He is a past President of the New England Financial Marketing Network, the Rhode Island Advertising Club and the Executives Association of Rhode Island. Charlie also chaired the Public Relations Committee of the Rhode Island Bankers Association. A graduate of Brown University, he enjoys golf, riding his motorcycle, and he occasionally brews his own beer.

Bruce McMeekin, President and Founder, BKM Marketing Associates, Inc.
BKM Marketing Associates, Inc. is an integrated marketing agency formed in 2002 with the vision of creating a truly client-focused entity that leverages a "best-in-class” partner model to orchestrate outstanding marketing results for clients. Bruce's professional life focuses on one thing - marketing. He began his career client-side, holding marketing positions with Procter & Gamble, Bank of New York, The Travelers and PNC Bank. Seeking a broader range of challenges, he switched to the consulting and agency side of marketing, first as Managing Director of the financial services practice for EMI Strategic Marketing and later as Managing Director of integrated marketing for Protocol Marketing Group.

As the founder of BKM Marketing, Bruce's roots in client-side marketing transcends into a unique understanding of clients' passion for generating measurable results. Recent financial services clients include American Express OPEN, Bank Rhode Island, Brookline Bank, Citizens Bank, Eastern Bank, First National Bank of Omaha, PeoplesBank, Rockland Trust, and Wells Fargo.

Bruce is active in the direct marketing industry as a frequent speaker, past NEDMA Board member, and national creative awards judge. His team’s work has earned dozens of awards, including DMA Echoes, New England Direct Marketing Association (and most recently NEFMA!).  He holds an MBA in marketing and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from Harvard College in economics.

Bryan Moore, Small Business Lending Officer, Country Bank
Moore started his banking career as a Personal Banking Representative for Sovereign Bank in 2006. While there, Bryan excelled in the Small Business Lending group and became the Business Team Leader, which allowed him to work with the small business team and businesses from Worcester to Plymouth.

Moore is a resident of Holden, Mass. where he lives with his wife Jamie and their three children; he enjoys basketball and fishing with his family. He earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in International Business and International Economics from Assumption College and serves on the Finance Committee of St George’s Parish in Worcester. 

Charles E. Maynard, Vice President, Relationship Manager, Bankers’ Bank Northeast
Charles E. Maynard (Chuck) is a seasoned banking professional with a proven record of success in retail sales management and operations. He is a strong team leader and problem solver, recognized for his outstanding performance and achievements. Chuck is a respected communicator with a reputation for creating highly productive relationships and maximizing opportunities by fostering a customer-centric and team first environment. 

Chuck began his banking career with Wachovia as a manager in the company’s Meriden Financial Center. He was promoted to Senior Manager, and then to Assistant Vice President. Chuck managed diverse teams of sales and service professionals to consistently exceed sales and business development goals.  He ensured high levels of customer service while maintaining operational soundness through inspecting and mentoring.  Recognized as problem solver, Chuck was asked to manage a number of underperforming branches. As a result of his hard work and dedication, these branches achieved their highest levels of sales, service, and profitability. 

Chuck moved on to New England Bank as the bank’s Retail Banking Sales Manager. His primary responsibility was the pursuit of new retail and business opportunities. Chuck was charged with creating and meeting the strategic annual budget goals for deposit and loan growth for the branch network. He successfully created and led a sales culture through hands-on training and support. As a result, the bank expanded its customer relationship base, developed new business and implemented strategies for the promotion and management of new retail and small business deposit and loan products. 

Chuck joined Bankers’ Bank Northeast in 2012. He is committed to a philosophy emphasizing service excellence, the clients’ overall success and identifying opportunities to improve overall efficiency and performance. 

Chuck is a resident of Colchester, CT along with his wife and two children. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and enjoys coaching youth sports for the town’s recreation league as well as volunteering for the Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Company.

Marianne Byrne, Esq., Director of New England, FIS
Marianne is a currently involved in training regulatory examiners, board members and financial institutions on the new CFPB rules and has helped develop many marketing campaigns throughout her span of 25 years. She also provides day to day compliance support to clients as it relates to marketing, compliance and risk. Before she joined FIS, she worked in the banking industry and is a subject matter expert in lending, operations, risk and compliance. Ms. Byrne was the SBA manager for TD Bank where she developed and executed many marketing campaigns. She is also a frequent speaker on fair lending, UDAAP, BSA, Vendor Management and other compliance hot topics. In addition, she is a member of The Boston Club, Eastern Mass Compliance Network, Mass Bankers Association, NH Bankers Association, American Bankers Association and Risk Management Association.

Ms. Byrne earned her BS in Communications from Suffolk University, Juris Degree from New England Law School and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. She resides in the North Shore area with her husband of 32 years and their "empty nest” puppy Haley. She is active in the International Rett Syndrome Foundation and enjoys being a grandparent.

Addison Hoover, NCR
A strategic, innovative, and engaging thinker, Addison has collaborated with, and presented to, hundreds of the world's top brands from an array of business verticals, including hospitality, travel, retail, and financial.  With a background in sales and marketing at technology leader NCR, Addison has a demonstrated ability to connect the dots across complex technological concepts and forward looking strategies, with particular focus on customer experience and design, retail channel distribution planning, and self and assisted service innovation.  In his current role at NCR, Addison is the GM for Branch Transformation Marketing in North America.

Within the banking industry, Addison has spent time presenting to and working with executives from Emirates National Bank of Dubai, Barclays, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, BBVA, PNC, and Bradesco - to name a few.
