 Ron Bernas
Vice President of Consumer Sales at Conestoga Bank, Chester Springs, PA. 

Leveraging his extensive sales and marketing background, Ron played an integral role in successfully transforming a traditional banking model into a unique new banking experience; Bankwerx from Conestoga Bank.
Ron holds a B.S.B.A.  in Management from Kutztown University and has been in Digital Marketing for over 15 years. He is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s PR/Communications Committee.   His passion revolves around maximizing the “customer experience”, utilizing consumer trends and data analysis to implement highly effective marketing campaigns across multiple delivery channels.

Chris Braccia

Chris Braccia serves as director of product management at D+H. Prior to joining D+H, Chris was the marketing director for a Connecticut mutual savings bank for 13 years. He has also served as a research analyst and sales manager for a $1.5 billion mutual savings bank. During his banking experience, Chris was one of the first users of MCIF (Marketing Customer Information File) technology. He is a graduate of the National School of Banking at Fairfield University. He is a frequent speaker at many banking and credit union conferences.


Rich Brooks
Founder and President of flyte new media, a web design and marketing firm in Portland, Maine. He is a nationally recognized speaker on entrepreneurship, digital marketing and social media.

He is a founder of The Agents of Change Digital Marketing Conference, an annual conference on search, social & mobile marketing.

He runs The Marketing Agents Podcast, where he interviews marketing experts from around the world on search, social & mobile marketing.

Mary Anne Clancy
Vice President, Communications at Institution for Savings

As Vice President of Communications, Mary Anne is charged with the day-to-day planning and implementation of the bank's advertising, public relations and community outreach efforts. She has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and communication with an emphasis on financial services, including Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for the former First & Ocean National Bank. She also ran her own freelance marketing business, Writing Etc., and earlier in her career was a public relations account executive with Mullen Public Relations of Boston. 

Mary Anne joined the Institution for Savings in 2006 after serving a term as Mayor of the City of Newburyport. She is active in the community, including a Corporator of Anna Jaques Hospital, on the Board of the Anna Jacques Hospital Community Health Foundation, on the Economic Development Action Committee of the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and chair of RESTORE, a non-profit committee raising funds to renovate World War Memorial Stadium. She is also a founder and past Board member of the Newburyport Education Foundation and served on the Newburyport School Committee for 10 years. 

Mary Anne is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a dual degree in communications and political science, as well as the American Banking Association's School of Bank Marketing & Management. 

Robert Maddock
Executive Vice President, Community Banking at BankNewport

Robert E. Maddock is Executive Vice President, Community Banking at BankNewport.  He is responsible for the delivery of high quality customer service throughout the branch network, including the Direct Banking Center and electronic banking channels.  He also oversees information technology, deposit servicing, marketing and public relations. Bob also serves as BankNewport’s planning officer. 

Bob joined BankNewport in 1989 and has held various positions, including Senior Vice President, Customer and Staff Development.  He was named Executive Vice President, Community Banking in 2002.  He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts from Syracuse University.

An active civic and business leader, Bob is a board member of the Touro Synagogue Foundation and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.  He is a past Chairman of the Board of Child & Family Services of Newport County and a past board member of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra.  He has also served as Treasurer of the Newport Art Museum and is an alumnus of Leadership Rhode Island.

Joann Marsili
Joann Marsili is currently is Vice President, Director of Marketing and Sales at Fidelity Deposit and Discount Bank. She has over 25 years of marketing experience, including strategic planning, sales strategy, execution and management, marketing communications, product development, marketing research and analytics and retail banking.  Joann currently manages the Marketing Department and the Cash Management Unit at Fidelity. 
Active in the community and her profession, she serves on the board of the Susan G. Komen NEPA Affiliate, is an advisory member and student advisor to the American Banker’s Association’s School of Bank Marketing and Management, as well as serving on a number of local committees for organizations such as the National Association of Women Business Owners and The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce.

Win Smith
Winthrop H. Smith Jr. is Chairman and CEO of Summit Ventures NE, LLC, which owns Sugarbush Resort in Warren, Vermont. He also serves as President of Sugarbush.

Born in New York City, Win attended the Buckley School before entering Deerfield Academy. He received his BA in Political Science from Amherst College and his MBA in Finance from Wharton University.

In 1974, Winthrop H. Smith Jr. came to work for the company that his late father had co-led for twenty-one years, starting in the “bullpen” as an entry-level associate. Win rose steadily, working not only in investment banking but also in marketing, human resources, finance, and sales. He also held management positions in both the Capital Markets Group and the Private Client Group.

During the final decade of his twenty-eight-year career at Merrill, Mr. Smith was an Executive Vice President of Merrill Lynch & Co. and a member of the Executive Committee. As Chairman of Merrill Lynch International, he led one of Merrill Lynch & Co.'s four business units with 9,000 employees, over $2.8B in revenues, and client assets of $180B. He retired from Merrill in January 2002 because he could not agree with the future direction of the firm.

Winthrop Smith is currently a director of Eaton Vance Corporation in Boston as well as AGF Management Limited and Richardson GMP Limited in Toronto and Richardson Financial Group Limited in Winnipeg, Canada. As a Vermont business owner, Mr. Smith is on the boards of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, Vermont Business Roundtable, Vermont Ski Areas Association, and the National Ski Areas Association. He enjoys most outdoor activities but none so much as skiing.

Current philanthropic activities include serving on the board of the Vermont-based Mary Haas Foundation. Mr. Smith was formerly on the boards of the United Nations Association of the USA, Outward Bound USA, the New York City Ballet, the Cancer Research Institute, The Japan Society, and the Winthrop H. Smith Memorial Foundation. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Deerfield Academy. Win was also a member of the board of the Economics Club of America and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Win is a resident of Warren, Vermont, and also has a home with his wife, Lili Ruane, in Shelburne, Vermont. He has four children, four step-daughters, and five grandchildren. The oldest three are already passionate skiers and the youngest two will soon be.

Mr. Smith recently published his book, Catching Lightning in a Bottle -- How Merrill Lynch Revolutionized the Financial World. It is the first history of Merrill Lynch and traces its impact on the world of finance from the day Charlie Merrill opened his one-man shop on January 6, 1914, to the final shareholder meeting prior to its acquisition by Bank of America on December 5, 2008.
