NEFMA Awards2015 Best in Marketing Awards —
Have you submitted your entries yet?
You have until Friday, November 7 to submit your entries for NEFMA’s best in community bank and credit union creativity competition! The awards program is open to all banks, credit unions, agencies, and financial marketing service providers operating and marketing within New England. There is no fee for submissions, and you may submit as many campaigns or items as you like. Winners will be announced at a dinner and awards ceremony at the NEFMA Winter Conference taking place at The VERVE Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick on January 29–30, 2015.

Call for Content – NEFMA Resource Library
We heard from members that a resource library would be a valuable enhancement to the member-only portion of our website. We need you to make it happen!

Please help us build our Resource Library by submitting:

  • White papers/case studies
  • Sample templates, e.g. marketing plan, social media policy, communications calendar, creative brief, RFP
  • Calculators, e.g. ROI, account open/close ratio
  • Benchmarks (vendors, this includes you!), e.g. services per HH, attrition rate, debit card penetration, e-statements penetration

Fall Conference Wrap-Up

Our attendees took home many lessons learned from our jam-packed session schedule. Thursday’s first-ever ‘Ad Court’ session saw advertising and marketing professionals have a little fun arguing for and against specific ads in front of our three-judge panel. That evening, Win Smith, Jr., reflected on his time with Merrill Lynch and shared successful marketing initiatives that helped Sugarbush Resort increase revenues amid intense competition.

On Friday, two separate panels spoke about their personal experiences with new and innovative in-branch technologies as well as MCIF/CRM best practices. While our other new addition, ‘90-Second Knock-Down,’ also proved to be a big “hit” as three service members successfully sold us on three topics just in the nick of time. Bookending the day was noted social media expert Rich Brooks, who provided a plethora of useful tools and tips specifically geared to enhance the effectiveness of bank and credit union’s social efforts.
