Position Profile
Directs the Bank’s marketing efforts toward the achievement of established Bank goals and objectives and works with the marketing agency to coordinate and execute this plan. Coordinates the development and management of all marketing materials, promotional items and sales campaigns for the bank, creates and manages photo and other presentations to the Board, Senior Management, and for employee and Corporator events. Manages the Bank’s website and social media channels. Works collaboratively with Commercial and Retail areas to provide support for community relations initiatives and events. Develops all collateral materials, handles all advertising initiatives and promotional items.
Position Functions:
- Supports the Bank’s corporate objectives through appropriate marketing efforts
- Interfaces with marketing committee and marketing agency to develop and execute marketing and sales campaigns
- Develops & manages marketing budget to coincide w/bank’s goals
- Manages internal, external and customer communications
- Oversee the management of Bank’s promotions including advertising, direct mail, email blasts, branch collateral/brochures, and public relations
- Manages ad execution from concept stage through execution
- Organizes events related to corporate and community initiatives
- Manages Bank’s website and ensures website information is accurate, current and compliant
- Prepares presentations for Board of Director, Officer, employee, annual, Corporator meetings and others as directed
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance as it relates to marketing & advertising
- Assumes additional responsibilities as requested

- Experience in Marketing/Public Relations fields
- Develop and nurture relationships with peers, management & vendors
- Some Graphic Design/Layout skills
- Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe PhotoShop, etc.
- MAC platform experience preferred
- Photography skills with digital camera

Position Profile
Reporting to the VP Marketing, the Marketing Specialist develops and manages internal and external resources that provide support for the bank’s marketing efforts, including: 1) data support for and coordination of MCIF updates, reporting, and dissemination, and 2)creating and maintaining lists and channels for targeted communications via email, direct mail, and other media.
Position Functions:
- Manages updates of MCIF data with outside vendor, providing quality control and critical oversight of data results.
- Coordinates, analyzes, and incorporates appended data from other sources.
- Provides regular and ad hoc reporting of customer data.
- Working with sales team leaders (retail, commercial, consumer lending, mortgage, wealth management), creates e-mail, direct mail, and other internet media campaigns consistent with the bank’s strategic and business goals, and which advance the Merrimack brand.
Position Requirements:
- Facility with data applications, with banking and or bank MCIF experience preferred.
- 4-year college degree plus 3-5 years experience, including proven aptitude for data analysis and interpretation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, data base, and other routine office software and ability to learn relevant software as needed.
- Strong proof reading skills (numeric and text) required.
- Must be able to develop consultative working relationships across departments and staff levels.

Position Functions:
- Develop a strategic marketing plan to acquire new clients.
