Consumer Marketing Specialist (posted 10/23/08)
Cambridge Savings Bank is searching for a detail-oriented Marketing individual to join our fast-paced Marketing department in Harvard Square. In this position you will be responsible for assisting with research projects and reports to include collecting, analyzing and reporting information on consumers, prospects and financial services. You will be responsible for the management, maintenance and updating of the Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF) for direct mailings and reports. In addition, you will assist with managing advertising/marketing communication jobs from development of creative strategies to production of materials and ensure that all communications carry the appropriate brand and position of Cambridge Savings Bank. You will also assist with department projects as needed.

Qualified candidates will possess a college degree in marketing along with an understanding of marketing concepts. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ marketing research experience as well as advanced skills in Excel and Word. Strong working knowledge of MCIF systems along with financial services experience is a plus. Additionally, candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail the ability to multi-task and work independently.

Account Executive Position We have a unique opportunity for the right individual. Being a new division and a new position, you will own the daily relationship with clients regarding coordination and facilitation of project planning and execution. The AE will manage daily client communication and expectations. The position has a flexible work schedule, which is ideal for balancing family and career. Most work can be done from your home, or our office, with periodic bank visits and presentations to our customer base. This position will not generally require overnight travel.

Essential Duties:

  • Establish a relationship with community banks, throughout New England, through phone solicitation and industry networking.
  • Lead the execution of project(s) for client(s).
  • Maintain communication with internal team members during project.
  • Generate all necessary paperwork: creative briefs, job change forms, timelines, estimates, project communications/conference reports and daily paperwork.
  • Manage creative development process and reviews to ensure that concepts and execution are on strategy and meet objectives.
  • Assist in negotiating, procuring and managing external resources/suppliers.
  • Coordinate with field supervisors and presents programs to clients.
  • Ensure flawless and timely execution of specific projects.
  • Manage and ensure adherence to program budgets and timelines.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to schedule appointments weekly for presentations through phone solicitations.
  • Ability to sell four basic forms of in-branch signage after a brief training period.
  • Ability to communicate and develop a rapport with bank marketing managers.

Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience preferred. Banking experience is a plus. In addition, candidate must be detail oriented; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; have the ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently; and have the aptitude to learn at a rapid pace in a quickly changing environment.
