NEFMA is a 100% volunteer run organization. We have many opportunities for people to get involved and are always looking for new members to contribute their ideas and enthusiasm to our organization. If you would like to become involved with NEFMA, please email us at office@nefma.org with your areas of expertise and/or interest and we can direct you to the correct person. The following are ways you can get involved with NEFMA: Annual Planning Meeting All members are invited to join the Officers, Board of Directors and Committees at our annual strategic planning meeting held in June. During this meeting the goals and priorities for the upcoming year are set. Board of Directors & Officers The Board of Directors consists of the following Officers: Past President, President, Vice President, Director(s) of Programming, Director(s) of Membership, Director(s) of Communications, Treasurer/Clerk. For a full list of our current Board of Directors, click here Committees We are always looking for members to join one of our committees. After the Annual Planning Meeting, most committee work is done by phone, fax and email. Program Committee Members of the Program Committee are responsible for planning and conducting the year's educational programs including choosing the topics, locations and speakers for our conferences. Membership Committee Membership Committee members help promote membership growth through various initiatives such as direct mail and e-mail to prospects, outreach in social media, etc. Members also meet and greet new members and first time attendees at conferences and assist with the production of the annual membership directory.
Communications Committee The Communications Committee works to promote and publicize our organization and activities through our newsletter, meeting notices, announcements, local media and web site. |
