Some financial institutions have a strong foothold in their geography, even though they are competing against super regional and national banks. In fact, they leverage their geography in much of what they do (including their names). What makes them unique? What does it take to keep the community connections intact? How can your financial institution build a similar model?

  • 10:10 – 11:00 am – Using the Media More Effectively
With very limited dollars to best market your institution in the media, a panel of agency media buyers will discuss some unique and effective ways to deploy limited media budgets. Presented by Debbie Auger of Sean Tracey Associates, Marilois Snowman from Mediastruction, Tara Hershberger of Pannos-Winzeler.

  • 11:15 am – 12:05 pm – Sharing Your Opinion
Using the Opinion pages for important messages without spending precious ad dollars. Presented by Maura Casey, a veteran op-ed editor and a former editorial writer for The New York Times, will explain what every opinion piece needs to get the attention it deserves from opinion editors.

  • 1:10 – 2:00 pm - Solving the Brand Puzzle
Presented by Robert Michaud, CMO, Mid Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union and author of the book "Solving the Brand Puzzle". Understand why a brand is a lot more than a logo and a tag line. For a brand to be complete it must be integrated into a company’s strategic vision, be part of management’ s business plans, embody a staff culture that communicates it to customers, and provide a sensory experience that caters to all five senses.
